Oops, look like Twitter may have leaked a new big feature to be supported on the social media website. Not so long ago they unveiled the #AmazonCart feature which allowed users to add items directly from Twitter into their Amazon basket and then complete the transaction later on at their convenience.
However it looks as if Twitters, ‘buy now’ proposal is well…more than just a proposal. Recode has spotted the button (which has since been pulled from Twitter) lurking in tweets seen on the mobile app.
The feature entices people to make purchases while they are browsing their social feeds and while the actually link was broken, one person has reported that they made it to the purchase page and has confirmed it won’t take long to buy what you are looking at.
Twitter are keeping tight lipped at the moment, they are working with Fancy.com on the buy now feature and while they appearance of the button has confirmed that the feature has made it past the idea stage it could be far from being implemented, if it is to come into existence at all.
Twitter has been known to shelve ideas if they simply are not working out, so while it may have appeared for a brief time, it may never see the light of day on the actual app.
